Maldives

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Considerate one of the most beautiful countries in the world subject to vanish because of the Global Warming.

Yes! I had the opportunity to go to this country not just once but twice in a lifetime! Who knew this could happen. It was like a dream.

This time I was invited to stay at the new resort from 1Oak in the Maldives.

White sand, blue sea, blue sky and a lot of beautiful people around.

Where to stay:

If you are looking to save some money and live all the experiences I'd suggest you to stay half of your trip on the Beach Vila and the other half on the Lagoon Vila once you are in the Maldives you gotta experience the over water bangalôs (Lagoon Vila). It is like a dream!

  • Beach Vila: A bangalô at the beach the way they have the trees will make you feel like you are alone.

  • Lagoon Vila: It's a over water bangalô a must do experience in the Maldives. Looking over the Lagoon provide with the most beautiful color of water you will find in the resort. Outside shower that will make you feel sexy.

  • Ocean Pool Vila: It's a over water Bangalô looking over the ocean with a private pool just for yourself. An amazing experience as well. The sea gets a little bit deeper there.

Must do experiences:

  • whale shark snorkeling

  • sunset scuba diving

  • 20min ride with jet sky around the island

What to bring:

  • lots and lots of bikinis

  • a nice camera to capture every moment

  • waterproof camera or case for the snorkeling

  • no heels needed (you will be most of the time with your feet on the sand, bring a platform shoe if you must have one)

  • light dresses

  • sunglasses

  • they have a doctor in the island but I'd recommend you to bring every medicine you may need

  • there is a nice gym on the resort provided with bootcamp and pilates classes (don't forget some gym clothes)

How to get there:

There are two ways to get there from Malé:

  • 30 min domestic plane + 40min boat ride

  • 40min water plane

Unless you are a big group over 15 people I'd recommend to take the water plane from Malé to the resort. It costs around U$500 and you can take only one hand luggage and one luggage with 23kg if exceeds you have to pay extra and it is price.

Maldives is far, this is the first thing you have to keep in mind, but it is totally worth it.
